1.11 I BELIEVE – PART 2

We all have ability. The difference is how we use it. - Stevie Wonder

Dare to dream, Dare to believe in yourself

Don't let a day pass without confessing something pregnant with FAITH and HOPE to positively re-assure yourself daily. “As a man thinketh, so is he...”

-I believe that I’m bigger/ greater than the BB you know,

-I believe that God has a huge plan for me; it’s beyond my wildest imagination

-I believe that dreams do come true

-I believe that I have the potential to do GREAT things- it’s itching to burst out and manifest.
(I just need to find that key)

-I believe in myself

-I believe that I’m powerful beyond measure

-I believe I can achieve anything if I put my mind to it

-I believe in new beginnings

-I believe my tomorrow is brighter than my today

-I believe in surrounding myself with positive energy/ people

-I believe in giving and putting other people before myself

-I believe that my wife will be the happiest woman in the world because of me

-I believe that I am a beautiful curvy woman and no one can change who I am!!!

-I believe that change begins within you

-I believe in miracles

-I believe in Love and living happily ever after

-I believe in friends and family

-I believe that in life you don’t always get what you wish for, but in attempting to fulfill that wish; you do get something/ learn something

-I believe in working hard, and playing harder!

-I believe that I’m the best at being me! No one else can be better at being BB, than BB himself

-I believe you don't always get what you want but you get is so much better!

-I believe that every challenge you face makes you stronger and catapults you to greater heights

-I believe that you can’t love anyone before you love yourself first

-I believe that light always overcomes darkness
(eish catch that revelation)

-I believe that God lives in me and walks with me in my daily life

-I believe that I’m fearfully and wonderfully made

-I believe that all things work together for good, for all those who love God and are called according to his purpose

-I believe that you need to be spiritually pregnant to "notice" God work in your life, otherwise you'll be too blind to see what he does on a daily basis

-I believe that Faith knows what to do

-I believe that thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path

-I believe in giving thanks

-I believe in breaking down those doors of opportunity and prosperity

-I believe that life is a prize. But to live doesn't mean you're alive.

-I believe you always have another chance to do what is right

-I believe that there are many fish in the sea, but I want that fish

-I believe if love something let it go but if it doesn't come back shoot it down and drag it back home.
-I believe that the best is yet to come

-I believe that people will always hurt and disappoint you. You just have to find those worth suffering for

-I believe authenticity turns heads. You are never sexier than when you are YOURSELF!

-I believe you are what you do. Not what you say you'll do.

-I believe good girls go to heaven. Bad girls go everywhere.

-I believe success is the sweetest revenge.

-I believe envy is the art of counting someone else's blessings instead of your own.

-I believe I deserve to be with someone who can’t start the day without kissing me.

-I believe we should all start to live before we get too old. Fear is stupid. And so are regrets.

-I believe you should have your own life before you decide to be someone else's wife.

-So maybe I don't have life all figured out.....but I believe I know what I'M about & that all that matters.

-I believe it’s unfair for beautiful people to be unhappy. Smile!!! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!!

-I believe people stuck on impressing people won’t matter 5years from now.

-I believe that each day comes with a new opportunity to make you greater than you were yesterday

-I believe in living for the moment, seizing the moment and maximising it, so that you can account for every moment in your life with no regrets.

-I believe that after all the lies, deceit, treachery, hurt, pain, broken promises, heartbreak, disappointment.....
...life still goes on!

-I believe that today is going to be a good day (everyday)

 Ponder points

On What beliefs is your life built on?

What drives you everyday to wake up in the morning?

Where do you see yourself tomorrow or 5 years from now?

1.9 I'VE LEARNED THAT...

Life is a journey of daily experiences and lessons, but the only way you'll grow is when you have an eye to recognise the hidden tale in every encounter. In every negative situation, there is an equal positive force; you just have to learn to identify it and associate yourself with it. You’ve encountered many obstacles in your life but you’ve also learnt something from those encounters.

- I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.

-  I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back

- I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.

- I've learned that it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts.

-I've learned that you can get by on charm for about 15 minutes. After that, you'd better know something.

-I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do, but to the best you can do.

-I've learned that it's not what happens to people that's important. It's what they do about it.

-I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides.

-I've learned that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

-I've learned that it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.

-I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

- I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you can't.

-I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

-I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

-I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place. (Amen to that!)

- I've learned that heroes are people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

- I've learned that learning to forgive takes practice.

-I've learned that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it.

-I have learned that if you want to make it bad enough, no matter how bad it is, you are going to make it

-I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

-I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.

-I've learned that I'm getting more and more like my grandma, and I'm kind of happy about it.

-I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

-I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

-I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

-I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

- I've learned that you should never tell a child her dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if she believed it

-I've learned that your family won't always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological.

-I've learned that no matter how good a friend someone is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

-I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

-I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.

-I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

-I've learned that sometimes when my friends fight, I'm forced to choose sides even when I don't want to.

-I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

-I've learned that sometimes you have to put the individual ahead of their actions.

-I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

-I've learned that if you don't want to forget something, stick it in your underwear drawer.

-I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

-I've learned that the clothes I like best are the ones with the most holes in them.

-I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

-I've learned that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.

- I've learned that there are many ways of falling and staying in love.

-I've learned that no matter the consequences, those who are honest with themselves get farther in life.

-I've learned that many things can be powered by the mind, the trick is self-control.

-I've learned that no matter how many friends you have, if you are their pillar, you will feel lonely and lost at the times you need them most.

-I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

-I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

 - I've learned that writing, as well as talking, can ease emotional pains.

-I've learned that the paradigm we live in is not all that is offered to us.

-I've learned that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

-I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon.

-I've learned that although the word "love" can have many different meaning, it loses value when overly used.

 - I've learned that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe.

Ponder points

List down those memories, those encounters, and those sad moments; and also list down the lessons learnt from those experiences. Embrace those lessons and use them as a map and reference area for the future. Every struggle in your life has shaped you into the person you are today. Be thankful for those hard times, they can only make you stronger. Your life is a message to the world, make it memorable.

1.10 OUR DEEPEST FEAR

For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but that of power, love and a sound mind”
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented or fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

1.8 ALL I EVER LEARNED FROM A DOG

Most of us have dog’s as pets in our homes ( a man's best friend) - fluffy, cuddly, sweet; but you'd be surprised at the number of things you'll learn from it.

1. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joy ride.
2. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
3. When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
4. When it's in your best interest, always practice obedience.
5. Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
6. Take naps and always stretch before rising.
7. Run, romp, and play daily.
8. Eat with gusto and enthusiasm.
9. be loyal.
10. Never pretend to be something you're not.
11. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
12. When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.
13. Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
14. Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
15. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
16. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
17. When you are happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
18. No matter how often you are criticized, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout. Run right back and make friends.

1.7 WHAT I LEARNED FROM NOAH'S ARK

So make yourself an ark of cypress (Genesis 6:14 KJV)

Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone might ask you to do something REALLY big.
Don't listen to critics, do what has to be done.
Build on high ground.
For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
Two heads are better than one.
Speed isn't always an advantage. The cheetahs were on board, but so were the snails.
If you can't fight or flee, float!
Take care of your animals as if they were the last ones on earth.
Don't forget that we're all in the same boat.
When the doo-doo gets really deep, don't sit there and complain shovel!!!
Stay below deck during the storm.
Remember that the ark was built by amateurs and the Titanic was built by professionals.
If you have to start over, have a friend by your side.
Remember that the woodpeckers INSIDE are often a bigger threat than the storm outside.
Don't miss the boat. No matter how bleak it looks, there's always a rainbow on the other side.

1.5 FRIENDSHIP AND LOVE

  • Love starts with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a tear.
  • Don't cry over anyone who won't cry over you.
  • Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget.
  • You can only go as far as you push.
  • Actions speak louder than words.
  • The hardest thing to do is watch the one you love, love somebody else.
  • Don't let the past hold you back; you're missing the good stuff.
  • Life's short. If you don't look around once in a while, you might miss it.
  • A best friend is like a four leaf clover: hard to find and lucky to have.
  • If you think that the world means nothing, think again. You might mean the world to someone else.
  • When it hurts to look back, and you're scared to look ahead, you can look beside you and your best friend will be there
  • True friendship never ends.
  • Friends are forever.
  • Good friends are like stars....You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.
  • Don't frown. You never know who is falling in love with your smile.
  • What do you do when the only person who can make you stop crying is the person who made you cry?
  • NOBODY IS PERFECT UNTIL YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH THEM. (Isn't that the truth?)
  • Everything is okay in the end. If it's not okay, then it's not the end.

Ponder points
I believe love emanates from friendship; most successful marriages I know grew from the couple being best friends.

1.4 Three THINGS

  • Three things in life that, once gone, never come back
-Time
-Words
-Opportunity

  • Three things in life that may never be lost
-Peace
-Hope
-Honesty

  • Three things in life that are most valuable
-Love
-Self-confidence
-Friends

  • Three things in life that are never certain
-Dreams
-Success
-Fortune

  • Three things that make a man/woman
-Hard work
-Sincerity
-Commitment

  • Three things in life that can destroy a man/woman
-Alcohol
-Pride
-Anger

  • Three things in life that, once lost, are hard to build-up
-Respect
-Trust
-Friendship

  • Three things in life that never fail
-True Love
-Determination
-Belief

P.-----pray
U.----until
S.----something
H.----happens

Ponder points

This was set to "3things" not because it’s limited to that, but so that I could set the pace of my line of thinking. You can add more factors under each section and turn it into "5things" or "7 things" coz we're all different in our own individual way, with different values from our life experiences. So add to the lists and fill it with your own personal values

1.3 STILL HAVE HOPE

You cannot tailor-make a situation in life, but you can tailor-make the attitudes to fit those situations - Zig Ziglar

Faith and Hope live within you; it’s psychological but is greatly influenced by external factors like family, social surroundings, media and friends. Hope is all around us, but most people don’t have the eye for it, and end up missing up; and hopeless. I still have hope because I recognise it all around me.

If you can look at the sunset and smile,
Then you still have hope.

If you can find beauty in the colors of a small flower,
Then you still have hope.

If you can find pleasure in the movement of a butterfly,
Then you still have hope.

If the smile of a child can still warm your heart,
Then you still have hope.

If you can see the good in other people,
Then you still have hope.

If the rain breaking on a roof top can still lull you to sleep,
Then you still have hope.

If the sight of a rainbow still makes you stop and stare in wonder,
Then you still have hope.

If the soft fur of a favored pet still feels pleasant under your fingertips,
Then you still have hope.

If you meet new people with a trace of excitement and optimism,
Then you still have hope.

If you give people the benefit of a doubt,
Then you still have hope.

If you still offer your hand in friendship to others that have touched your life,
Then you still have hope.

If receiving an unexpected card or letter still brings a pleasant surprise,
Then you still have hope.

If the suffering of others still fills you with pain and frustration,
Then you still have hope.

If you refuse to let a friendship die, or accept that it must end,
Then you still have hope.

If you look forward to a time or place of quiet and reflection,
Then you still have hope.

If you still watch love stories and want the endings to be happy,
Then you still have hope.

If you can look to the past and smile, then you still have hope.

If, when faced with the bad, when told everything is futile,
You can still look up and end the conversation with the phrase "yeah... BUT...”
Then you still have hope.

Hope is such a marvelous thing. It bends, it twists, it
Sometimes hides, but rarely does it break.
It sustains us when nothing else can.
It gives us reason to continue and courage to move ahead,
When we tell ourselves we'd rather give in.
Hope puts a smile on our face when the heart cannot manage.
Hope puts our feet on the path when our eyes cannot see it.
Hope moves us to act when our souls are confused of the direction.
Hope is a wonderful thing, something to be cherished and nurtured,
And something that will refresh us in return.
And it can be found in each of us, and it can bring light into the darkest of places.

Ponder points
If you have no HOPE, then you have dreams. If you have no dreams then you have no vision of the future for your life; therefore you aren’t really living life to the fullest. You’re just dragging yourself through life with no idea of where you’re heading. Decide today to change all that, decide today to turn your life around, decide today to dream and have a vision for the future. Decide today because YOU STILL HAVE HOPE!!

Do not look where you fell, but look where you slipped - African Proverb
